Who runs IGNITEyouth?
IGNITEyouth is the youth ministry or ‘youth group’ of Sale Baptist Church. It is not necessarily your traditional ‘youth group’ as we attract lots of youth outside of church. Brad Hayman is the Youth Pastor and oversees the ministry, he has been overseeing the ministry for 6 years.
What supervision is there?
On any given night there are approximately a dozen young adult youth leaders all with Working with Children’s Cards who are all active Christians and members of Sale Baptist Church.
What does IGNITEyouth do?
Being the youth ministry of Sale Baptist Church, IGNITEyouth endeavours to teach young people about Jesus Christ. We do this through talks most Friday nights based from the Bible, singing songs and praying. As well as all of this we have fun in everything we do and help young people not only have a relationship with God but with each other where they can support and encourage each other. Nothing is pushed or forced on to anyone.
What are the facilities like?
Sale Baptist Church’s building is a great facility and provides a very safe environment for your children. Youth are strongly encouraged NOT to leave or walk home without permission from the parent or guardian. There are no places where young people can sneak off where they cannot be seen.
What are the times?
Unless advertised otherwise we run from 6pm-8pm where we talk, play games, sit around, enjoy food from our youth café, sing songs or listen to somebody speak. This is open to anyone yr 6 – yr 12.
Ignition follows on after our main program at 8pm, finishing times will vary with each ignition group. We do appreciate your child’s organised ride home to pick them up at the agreed time of your child’s ignition leaders.
