Here is the deal, last weekend at State Youth Games a group of girls ran up to Bri and hugged her and left her with some weird card. It turns out that one of the church groups had this thing they did, where they hugged randoms and gave out encouraging cards they called it:: “A Random Act of Kindness” How cool!
Then today, we were shopping in Spotlight and the lady who served us was obviously having a terrible day or something and was grumpy. So we thought to ourselves “what can we do to improve her day?”
Well, we decided to anonymously send her some flowers with a nice card; saying:
“Dear … (Spotlight Lady),
We hope that you have a great day,
and that this puts a smile on your dile!
”
Then we got thinking!! (Don’t be too scared, it can happen)
Maybe IGNITEyouth (YOU) can take on this “random act of kindness” mentality, and bless complete strangers.
Strangers who may not necessarily be nice to you (like spotlight lady) or be the coolest people or funniest or prettiest anything like that. Then we can come to youth and have good news stories about how we blessed people this week.
Don’t get us wrong, we don’t meaning come in boasting about how great we were this week, instead sharing and encouraging others by the good deeds that we did, and blessing the people in our community.
So this week, go out and bless others!
Keep Smiling
Stay classy IGNITEyouth.
